To the people who are counting the exact date when the 6th month is due when it’s time to ask people back to report from their floating status:
The Supreme Court recognizes the use of 180 days when computing for 6 months. Just be careful you don’t exceed on this date.

Wait for the 6th Month of Floating. Then ask your company for separation pay.
Unless you are a Contractual Employee and you fell to end of contract. Hope this helps!
Miss Tina, kasama po ba sa bilang ng 6months ung 2months na ECQ mula March 17 to May 15? May 16 po kasi nagstart operation ng company..
Floating status po yan
Yes
Ms.Tina,
We like to comply with DOLE’s rule. If the March 17 is the start of the temp.lay off we would pay their sep.pay. My question is what we will file to dole? We can’t file the 30 days notice na? If sinasabi na sep 12 is the end of the 6th month.
Thanks po and more power!
Inform your staff they will be retrenched and their last day of employment is 30 days from date of letter. Make sure you inform DOLE that same day. https://reports.dole.gov.ph/
Make sure you reiterate in the letter you will pay the correct separation pay. It’s 1/2 pay per year of service, MINIMUM of one month. Include the floating and 30day period onto the count of tenure.
Good luck!
Thank you so much Ms.Tina!
Welcome!
