8:45am – Wake up and take a shower. Makeup for 5 mins
9:30am – Arrive at work.
9:35am – 11:00am – Drink my Nespresso as my sales supervisors and I go through their yesterday. I advise them of strategies and solutions to their issues
11:00am – 11:15am – Write an incident report for an AWOL sales staff. Email agency a copy.
11:15am – 11:30am – Update training document. Send to assistant for printing. Prepare for ingress papers as we are opening a new store tomorrow.
11:45am – Have a nice peaceful lunch at Subway. I feel sleepy so we grab an extra cup of coffee to wake me up.
1:05 pm – Return to office.
1:05 pm – 7:00 pm – Conduct sales training in between ordering new inventory. Also write costing sheet.
7:00 pm – Followup on what was forgotten on tonight’s ingress. Give me the new stuff to stock the store. Whoops, forgot to order net. Rush order.
7:15 pm – 7:25 pm – Call and admonish a sales staff who seem to be obstinate and who doesn’t want to go to work on Thursday. I insist he is nuts and arrange for him to do his rest day on Friday instead.
7:30 pm – Leave for ingress. Lug heavy stuff down to car.
8:15 pm – 9:00 pm – Find a nice Korean restaurant. Eat a nice dinner before mall closes and ingress begins.
9:30 pm – Where the hell are the people? They’re supposed to be here 30 minutes ago. The guard pesters me for a gate pass.
9:55 pm – There they are with our kiosk. Yehey.
10:00 pm – My sales staff comes. We start turning over inventory to him. I help him write in his inventory sheet.
11:00 pm – Kiosk is ready. Lights switched on. Yay.
11:30 pm – We wave defeat. Too many items to list. We decide to finish tomorrow.
11:45 pm – Get home and take a rest.
Just a normal day in the life of an often times frustrated yet more happy than not startup entrepreneur.
