My overall contribution to the firm: “Exceeds performance”
My competency: “Met competency.”
WHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAT?!
I know I kicked ass this year! 🙁
And yes, sorry if you think I need to lower down my ego, but this is a blog anyway, and hopefully, an anonymous one at that. So in no way is my current performance at work affected by my review.
Still sucks.
Dear Raven,
welcome in the world of Dilbert,

And yes, working reality is not fair, and yes, it sucks…

Hi Raven!
I’ve just found your blog by coincidence and read some of it. Thank you for the effort you put in maintaining it, it often reads like a novel and I enjoyed many posts, particularly those about concerts and your travels. They really made my day (ok, evening here) and I smiled heartily at some lines. Keep up the good work!
Best wishes,
Goran, Croatia

‘My competency: “Met competency.”‘
;-( Yeah I know, that hurts. Try to spare their lives…
Thanks Markus for your sense of humor and Goran for your comforting words. Yes, I was disappointed with my annual performance review because I felt my work wasn’t recognized enough. Oh well, guess that’s how boss keeps your ego down on the ground. 🙂
Hope you can keep on reading but do leave comments in the future as well. Puts a smile up my face to read notes like yours…
