At last!

Some good news just dropped in my Inbox today. Here’s a clue:

Where I’ll work in the very near future.

After almost 5 months of interviewing, taking tests, negotiating and waiting, waiting and more waiting (up to the point of hair-pulling frustration)… the contract’s finally been drafted and all I have to do is sign it.

This is in addition to finding an apartment, moving (anybody volunteering to help?), seeking a new gym and other new undertakings, boy, it’s been a totally busy past few months.

Yes, changes are indeed afoot. 🙂

And gosh, I really don’t know what’s going to happen, but am sure it’s going to be exciting!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

  1. Isn’t that the Taipei City Hall building? You’re going to work for the city government?

My family is also moving and we’re moving from Hsinchu to Taipei. We’re halfway there and we just need to arrange for the movers to move the big things like beds and closets.

  2. Nope, though the new office is close by, it’s not the Taipei City Hall building. And no, going capitalist here, not working for public welfare.

Good to know you’re moving to Taipei! I thought you guys were happy and settled at Hsinchu though. Why the move?

  3. Yes, I am happy living in Hsinchu so I do have mixed feelings about going to Taipei. But we’re basically doing it for the kids. My first is going to start first grade in September.

  4. ei raven, thanks for taking time to answer.. =) i tried posting in your shoutout box but to no avail. i have yet to read it again.

my initial thoughts though: “i know what i dont want, but i dont know what i want…”

good luck with your new work, new flat, new life! im sure we’ll hear, err read, more from you…

  5. Andy, good to know you’re doing it for the kids. Hope they can adjust well to the bustling city life! 🙂

Reeyuh, ain’t it funny? Yes, it’s far easier to know what you don’t want than what you want. But we know in time… for example, I want a long-term serious relationship, I want a guy who’s emotionally available (no gf, flings, etc.), I want a guy who will not cheat, just to name a few. You’ll figure them out in time. 🙂
