Typhoon Today

My door is banging. The wind is blowing. And am stuck at home frowning and vegging.

I don’t really feel like studying or doing anything save for sleep. I was inconveniently woken up this morning by our company driver who wanted to see whether he’d still have to pick up our client who arrived this morning (he did).

Of course, knowing that tomorrow may be another typhoon off day, I may have to move all of his meetings to Wednesday. Sucks big time man.

I hate such inefficiencies. Am probably one of the only people who rue typhoo holidays, most especially since that would mean more work for me when I get back to work come Tuesday.

Honestly, am feeling a bit unmotivated these days.

Of course, this is the PERFECT time to study for my GMAT (yes, I have not taken the exam yet) especially since there’s no one to bother you.

But all I want to do is sleep. Oh sleep. Especially after being up till 4am yesterday dancing at Carnegies and surfing the Net. Yes, I know. Very irresponsible of me.

I was determined to have fun yesterday even if it killed me. So despite people gasping that yes, I do frequent Carnegies, well, then forget it.

I like the music, the atmosphere and the people who work there are just terrific.

Besides, it’s funny to watch other couples who sometimes make fun of themselves. True story, this is an eavesdropped conversation yesterday:

Burly American Man: “You are very beautiful.”

Taiwanese lady in her late 30s: *mumbles mumbles*

So what? Her voice was quite low. And most likely, her English wasn’t that good anyway (Okay, so Ms. Bonita here isn’t playing Ms. Nice).

Burly American Man: “No really, you have a very beautiful body.”

Continues the Burly American Man: “And I want to get to know you better.”

Bonita silently guffaws.

OMG — does anybody believe that line still?! 😀

Burly American Man: “But I don’t want to get to know you tonight. I’d like to see you again in the morning.”

Ooooh. Something different ey? After all that rejections for being fresh, he’s definitely learning… slower and steadier wins the race.

Burly American Man: “You have nothing to fear from me. Of everbody in this bar, you are safest with me.”

Or not.

Burly American Man: “Don’t get me wrong. It’s not as if I don’t want to touch you. I really want to. But not tonight.”

Bonita’s Translation: “My girlfriend is here so I can’t bang you tonight. But if you’d give me your number, I am free to do you tomorrow.”

Okay… so am very very naughty today. Must be the wind outside. But what do you expect? It’s Carnegies!

Anyway, just a brief note to say that haven’t really been blown away yet. Still alive though being pretty mean today. Hope that all of you in Taiwan are all safe at home too.

Don’t want to get your heads chopped off with galvanized iron flying about (for some reason, sometimes think am still in the Philippines).

Oh and just as a forewarning, quite a few big news coming up soon. But will just share in good time.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your typhoon holidays! 🙂
