Typhoon holidays and more!

Typhoon holiday today and I’m thrilled!

The only thing I’m concerned about is that I haven’t really been doing a ot of things at work this week, and I need to do a status report on Monday! That’s what lazy weeks does to you… you get lazy.

I’d like to blame it on an incompetent business manager who never gives deadlines, but then again, it’s my fault too.

No use blame-throwing. It’s a senseless activity and you don’t get anything done.

Pretty excited. Am going river rafting at Hualien this weekend! Yay!

Hualien actually lies on the east of Taiwan, and features spectacular rock formations. It’s a must-see tourist destination if you come and visit Taiwan.

Of course, a lot of people are concerned about the possibilities of landslides and other natural hazards, but personally, I believe that since we’re going to take every precaution to ensure the safety of all our participants, it should be fine.

Though we like to live life to the fullest, we’re not stupid enough to put people’s lives at risk.

So our Hualien trip is still on!

Hope everything goes as planned! We have put too much time and effort for this trip not to work out.

Lesson for the week: Sometimes, sh*t happens.

Nobody knew the typhoon will hit and miss Taiwan this week (It’s not even a direct hit by the way, it’s just passing through).

But we have to make the best out of it.

And look at the bright side.

I mean, with the recent passing through of Matsa (the typhon’s name), that’s the perfect time to go river rafting — we can have more exciting waters, highly enhancing the experience!

You see, for me, we can’t always be afraid and stay at home.

It rains, it pours.

These things happen.

But sometimes, for us to live life to the fullest, we have to go out and stick our necks out there.

And have fun in a carefully-monitored environment.

In times like this, don’t be stupid.

As the saying goes, “Trust God, but still lock your car.

That’s why, am going river rafting tomorrow! And be exta careful while I’m at it! Yahoo!

C’est La Vie!

About Tina

I'm a forgetful person. But I think a lot. Every day, a lot of thoughts enter my head. That's why this blog came to be: first, to keep my memories alive through the years, and two, to actually see how I and my thoughts have changed. Please note that I seldom draft or edit my posts. Sometimes, if I'm not careful, I offend some of you, my readers. And while I apologize for making you feel uncomfortable, I am not sorry for being honest or for making well-intentioned mistakes. I will however be the first to admit if I change my mind. Hence, do read and proceed with caution. My life is as colorful and as boring as you make it. I complain many days, but offer some encouragement in others. Life is fluid, it changes. So keep the positives and throw away the negatives, and I do hope that at the end of the day, you will enjoy reading the blog and leaving comments here and there if my posts touches you. Happy reading!
