Raven’s Predictions

All of my friends will be voting for a new Taiwan president tomorrow.

For fun, let’s make a few predictions.

If Raven’s correct, Ma will win. Doesn’t matter if it’s a big or small margin, this shuai ke will finally be elected president.

DPP’s Chen Shui Bien would grudgingly turn over the rule to his opponent, citing that he is unwilling to let someone with a green card be president, but hey, majority wins.

Frank Hsieh disappears from the political scene, and mentions of him in the news are those from Wikepedia stating that he once ran for president. Or if he prefers to swim across one Taiwanese river, whatever comes first.

Investors around the world breathe a sigh of relief of finally finding a president who embraces the status quo. Stock price rally next week, especially in the non-tech sector.

China officially tells everyone they still believe that Taiwan’s part of China, but doesn’t really push the issue especially after the new Taiwan government loosen its regulations in doing business with China starting from increasing direct flights and allowing more Taiwanese dollars to build more factories in the Mainland.

People celebrate amidst the stagnating global economy.

Yay!

But then again, who knows?

Hence, it would be interesting to find out what sort of plot that will happen in the next 24 hours.

Regardless, the only reason Ma Ying Jeou won’t win is if he got assassinated in the next 24 hours.

Doubt that Frank Hsieh’s going to try the got-shot ploy again as it’s been done before by his predecessor, who won a lot of mercy votes at that time, swinging the election to his favor.

So if I was Ma Ying Jeou, I’ll make sure I’m safe and sound for 2 days. Hiding at home surrounded by body guards is a VERY good idea right now.

So we’ll see. My money’s on Ma.

How about yours? 🙂
